Size: 750mL Proof: 60 (30% ABV) Origin: Spain Distillery: Osborne Group A much vaunted Spanish grape brandy, with the unaged spirit made in the same way since 1772, although the strength has recently been lowered. It's aged in American oak and is very easy drinking. Osbourne Solera Veterano Brandy Tasting Notes Nose: Perfumed bouquet of peaches, nuts and butterscotch. Palate: Dry, with nuances of oak, vanilla and oloroso sherry. Finish: Lingering finish. Distillery Information The Osborne Group is named for Thomas Osborne Mann, originally of England, who settled in Cadiz, Spain at the end of the 18th century and entering the wine-trading business. It has remained in the family for the subsequent 200 years. In 1987, they expanded the company to distilling brandy and eau-de-vie. Today, they produce wine, spirits, and a variety of pork products. The Osborne Bull is the trademark of the company, first invented in 1956 as 12 foot-high images of the fighting bull made famous by Spanish tradition.

The color is a brilliantly clear topaz. Ron Cartavio Solera 12 Year Old Rum Tasting Notes Nose: Vanilla, light caramel, cocoa and dried fruit all jostle for attention on the nose. Palate: on the palate, some restrained sweetness (likely from sherry barrels) wrapped in silky texture bringing a touch of decorum to the bout. Finish: In the end, it's a draw between sweet and dry, spicy and fruity.

Distillery Information Martin Miller’s London Dry was launched in 1999, launched around a decade ahead of the gin boom. Martin Miller quested to create a seductive gin so good that it would rejuvenate the market, experimenting with different combinations and proportions of botanicals. The gin is distilled at Langley’s distillery in the west midlands using traditional methods, with the help of the beloved copper pot still named ‘Angela’. Once the distillation is over, slightly absurdly, the gin is then taken on a 3,000 mile round trip to Iceland to be blended with some of the world’s purest water. Sadly, Martin Miller passed away in 2013, though he left behind him a heritage that will long be remembered.

Quite delicate and smooth texture on the long finish. Producer Information Champagne Chavost is a grower based in Chavot-Courcourt, just to the south of Épernay. All wines have no added sulfites. The domaine was formed in 1946. There are 5 hectares (12 acres) of manually harvested vineyards, currently in conversion to organic status. As well as avoiding sulfur, there are no chemical additions, chaptalization or acidity management, and no fining or filtration of the base wines. Fermentations use native yeasts. All of the white cuvées are made entirely from first-press juice. The Blanc D'Assemblage Brut Nature is the core non-vintage release with around 9000 bottles. It combines 47 percent each of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier with 6 percent Pinot Noir. The base wine is vinified entirely in thermoregulated stainless steel. Both the Blanc de Chardonnay and Blanc de Meunier have zero dosage though the former is labeled as an Extra Brut and the latter as a Brut Nature. Output for both is about 3,700 bottles. The Rosé de Saignée is two-thirds Pinot Meunier, one-third Pinot Noir. Only around 1,000 bottles are released. Eureka! is a Brut Nature based on Pinot Noir (70 percent) with equal parts of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Production is around 2000 bottles. Discontinued cuvées may still be avialble at some of the retailers on our database. Chavost also produces just over 1000 bottles of a Chardonnay Coteaux Champenois still wine. It spends 18 months in used French oak barrels. Vinification follows the same principles as the sparkling wines.
