Amber in color, with hazelnut aromas on the nose. Light, soft and round on the palate, with a long aftertaste. Producer Information Bodegas Lustau is a famous Sherry producer in Andalucia and is arguably the most recognized fortified wine producer in the world. It was was founded in 1896 by José Ruiz-Berdejo as an almacenista, which also grew its own vines. Almacenistas generally bought young wine (Ruiz made his own) and matured them in their own soleras, before selling them to larger houses, who would either blend it with older wine, or mature it longer in their larger soleras. It wasn't until the 1950s that Ruiz's son-in-law Emilio Lustau Ortega began bottling and exporting his own wine. Now based in Jerez, Lustau is the only winery that has sites in all three cities of the Sherry triangle: Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Lustau buys fruit from vineyards, while also maintaining two of its own. The first is the Montegilillo vineyard, which is on the white limestone albariza soil local to the region. The second is the Las Cruces vineyard, which is on sandy coastal soils. Lustau now produces a range of Sherry, but achieves the most recognition for its Almacenista collection. Continuing the tradition, the collection is series of single offerings from smaller producers that Lustau bottles and distributes. The style of the local producer is maintained and their name is featured on the bottle.

Broad, delectable, with a powerful but flexible tannic structure. Producer Information Bodegas Mauro is a well-regarded wine producer based in Tudela de Duero and making wines under the regional Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León title, some 190km (120 miles) northwest of Madrid. Located just outside the Ribera del Duero wine region, Bodegas Mauro has been in operation since 1978 with a cellar dating back to the 17th Century. Since 2004, the wine production process has been carried out in Bodegas Mauro's upgraded facility (also in Tudela). The winery vineyards in Tudela de Duero and Santibáñez de Valcorba cover an area of 80 hectares (198 acres) and are planted to two grape varieties: Tempranillo and Syrah. The vines experience high diurnal temperature changes and produce low yields of high quality grapes. On average, the vines are between 20 and 30 years old and are not treated with any man-made chemicals like herbicides and pesticides. The grapes are hand-harvested and blocks or picks are generally fermented individually. The fermentation and maceration processes combined can last between 2-3 weeks, depending on the vintage. Bodegas Mauro's wines are then aged in oak barrels, 75 percent of which are made from French oak, and the remaining 25 percent from American oak. Bodegas Mauro produces four signature wines under the regional Viño de la Tierra title: Mauro, a Tempranillo – Syrah blend, Mauro VS and Terreus, both Tempranillo, and a white wine made of Godello. Each wine and vintage is aged according to the vineyard, maturity of the vines and the wine's own distinctive character. The winery makes up to 280,000 bottles annually, with the majority of these sold to the Spanish national market and the remainder exported to approximately 55 countries worldwide. Tudela del Duero has a long and illustrious winemaking history, and was even made exempt from taxes in 1562 by the King of Spain due to the quality of its wines.

It has a diverse portfolio of brands, but production is largely focused on the Monastrell and Tempranillo grape varieties. Many of Volver's wines are made from the 110-hectare (272-acre) vineyard in La Mancha. Here, the soils are sandy and iron- and limestone-rich, and are planted to low yielding, dry-farmed Tempranillo vines. The best section of the land, the Finca Los Juncares vineyard, is 29ha (72 acres) and includes Tempranillo vines planted in 1957. The wine made from this vineyard, the Bodegas Volver is aged 18 months in French oak barrels and bottled unfiltered. Paso a Paso and Venta Morales are also made in the La Mancha vineyards. Bodegas Volver produces another Alicante wine, Triga, which is a blend of 85 percent Monastrell and 15 percent Cabernet Sauvignon from the bodega's oldest vines, some planted in 1925. Bodegas Volver's Jumilla vineyards are planted to Monastrell with vines ranging in age from 25-35 years. The region experiences extreme temperature fluctuations with little rain.

The parameters were very similar to the 2018, 15% alcohol and a pH of 3.68 and higher acidity, 6.3 grams. It has the balsamic and herbal note of tomato vine and leaf, ripe and juicy, round and full-bodied with abundant, round tannins, rounder than those from the 2018. 54,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2021. Best after 2022. Since the first vintage, the goal has been to reflect the character and genuine essence of the land and the grape. The winery and vineyards are located in the eastern part of Albacete, between Valencia, Alicante and Murcia, a transitional zone between the Castillian meseta (plateau) and the Mediterranean Sea. The vineyards are located on poor soils, rich in limestone, at an altitude of 2300-3300 ft. The area has a continental climate with very low rainfall (less than 14 inches/year) which creates the perfect conditions to keep yields low, lending to high quality fruit with great concentration of color and flavor. The vineyards are all dry farmed without the use of pesticides or herbicides.

Specialized in making vintage wines, Bodegas Bilbainas produces some of the most famed and emblematic wines from Rioja, as La Vicalanda or its flagship brand, Vina Pomal. The company produces wine from both DOCa regions Rioja and Priorat, and in multiple DO regions including Penedès, Ribera del Duero and Rueda. Torres has had particular success with three wines: Viña del Sol, a white made from Parellada and Garnacha Blanco, Coronas, a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon from Penèdes, and Sangre de Toro (bull's blood in Spanish), a blend of Carignan and Garnacha. Pure, scented, and really focused. Full-bodied, but dry and intellectual, piled up with immaculate tannins that soak up the juicy, elegant berry fruit. Reviews: Wine Advocate: The single-vineyard 2019 La Estrada was produced with the field blend of grapes from a northeast-facing 0.64-hectare plot planted in the 1940s, one of the highest vineyards in the village of Lanciego at 610 meters above sea level. In this low-yielding year, the grapes were picked the 12th of October, then fermented in an open-top 3,000-liter oak vat with indigenous yeasts and matured in a combination of foudres and barriques for 14 to 16 months. This wine feels very harmonious and austere for a warm and generous vintage. It has more tannin. This is almost 100% Tempranillo, so this has earthier tannins that will evolve into a long wine with years in the bottle. Elegant rusticity. Producer Information Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodriguez produces wines across many regions of Spain, from Malaga in the south to Rioja in the north. Telmo Rodriguez himself is regarded as one of his country's leading winemakers. The company was founded in 1994 as Compañía de Vinos de la Granja by Telmo Rodriguez and two other winemakers, to create a Garnacha from old bush vineyards in Navarra. Over time, the portfolio has greatly extended with various projects across the country the first of which was producing the relatively unknown wine grape varity of Juan Garcia commercially.

On the palate, this accessible red shows silky texture, liveliness and long length. Reviews: Wine Advocate: The incredible value 2018 La Tremenda is pure Monastrell from 26-year-old vines on sandy and silt soils covered with rolling stones. It fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak barrels for six months. It's a more delicate expression of Monastrell, with good balance, quite transparent; it was easy, and the wines have very good freshness, with less concentration but terrific balance and definition, quite fruit-driven but with complexity and depth. It's approachable, really good for an entry level and amazing for the price. This is really impressive. An honest Monastrell. Producer Information Although Enrique Mendoza founded the winery in 1989, his son Pepe now runs the business, aided by his younger brother Julián. Pepe is responsible for vineyard management and winemaking, while Julián looks after the commercial side of the company. A wine of great finesse and an impressive length in the mouth. Producer Information Bodegas La Horra originated as a project of Bodegas Roda, which was in search of the perfect region for a Tempranillo. Then, in the rather cool north of the Ribera del Duero, they found old vineyards whose characteristics would provide the ideal conditions for a Tempranillo in the style of Roda wines.Viticulture in the Ribera del Duero began before Roman times and has maintained a high prestige to this day. With its soils of limestone and clay with a sandy layer, La Horra is able to produce here a Tempranillo with high finesse, which nevertheless remains faithful to its roots. The temperature jumps between day and night also provide aromatics and a goodw structure to the wine.

The family does not think of themselves as a wine factory, but instead a winery which has captured the essence of being a family.

Producer: Bodega Luigi Bosca Vintage: 2020 Size: 750ml ABV: 13.4% Varietal: Chardonnay Country/Region: Argentina, Barrancas Offers hints of ginger, green apple and yeast. Full of flavor and energetic, packaged freshness, it is slightly malic and sparky on the tongue. Producer Information Bodega Luigi Bosca is a wine estate in Mendoza, Argentina. It has vineyards throughout the Mendoza region, planted primarily to Malbec, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, among others. The estate was founded by Leoncio Arizu (who had established a winery in the region in 1901) and the Bosca family at the start of the 20th Century. The winery is located in Luján de Cuyo, but there are vineyards in Maipú and the Uco Valley. All of the vineyards are at high altitude – one of Mendoza's most important features as the cooler nighttime temperatures that are characteristic of higher altitude makes viticulture possible in the otherwise sunny, arid region. All of the vineyards are planted to a range of varieties, save for the Finca los Miradores vineyard which is given over exclusively to Malbec. The oldest vines in the company – which are around 90 years old – can be found in the sandy, low-yielding soils of the Finca los Nobles vineyard, and produce grapes that are used in the very best wines. Like many vineyards in the region, Luigi Bosca's sites are irrigated with snow melt off the Andes that has been channelled into irrigation canals throughout the vines. The winery makes a range of wines, from entry-level to super-premium. Its wines are widely exported and can be found in most major markets worldwide. The flagship wine, Icono, is a Cabernet – Malbec blend and comes from the best plots in the Finca los Nobles vineyard. The varieties are aged seperately in oak before being blended and aged in new French oak barrels for a further 12 months. This wine is bottled without being filtered and has the potential to age for at least 20 years after vintage.
