The family-owned estate has been overseen by Gianfranco Gallo since 1978. The vineyards underwent significant development and improvement in 1982, and a new winery was constructed in 1989. From 1990, Vie di Romans has focused largely on the production of single-vineyard wines from its 50 hectares (124 acres) of vineyards located close to the town of Mariano del Friuli. These estate vineyards are planted in a high-density to ensure a low yield of grapes with concentrated flavor compounds are produced. They are found planted on a broad terrace of iron-rich red soils situated on the northern bank of the Isonzo river. In addition to the single-vineyard white collection, the estate also produces a selection of varietal Merlot and Pinot Nero. The Vie de Romans Chardonnay is the flagship of the wine portfolio, sourced from estate vineyards in Friuli Isonzo. It spends 9 months aging on lees prior to bottling and will happily cellar for the next decade or two.

Producer Information Domaine des Perdrix is a Burgundian wine estate based in Premeaux-Prissey, near the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges. It is particularly known for its rich red wines made from the Pinot Noir grape variety and, in particlur, for its Premier Cru, almost-monopole, Aux Perdrix vineyard. The 12-hectare (30-acre) Domaine des Perdrix estate was taken over by the Devillard family in 1996. They also own Domaine du Château de Chamirey in Mercurey, and Domaine de la Ferté in Givry. Initially the wines were sold to négociant Antonin Rodet (a business formerly headed by Bertrand Devillard) but the estate is now completely independent. The estate's flagship holding is the 3.4-hectare (8.4-acre) Nuits-Saint-George Premier Cru vineyard Aux Perdrix, from which the domaine takes its name. The vineyard lies on the Côte d'Or hillside just northwest of Premeaux village, above the Aux Corvées vineyard and below Les Terres Blanches under the treeline at the top of the slope. Domaine des Perdrix owns 99 percent of the vineyard, making it an almost-monopole. It is divided into four plots, which are vinified separately before being blended into the final wine. Producer Information Domaine Denis Mortet is a producer from the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits of northern Burgundy. It is known for its high-quality wines made from Pinot Noir. The wine portfolio of Pinot Noir is produced in modern style with finesse and delicacy, a side step away from traditional Burgundian Pinot Noir. The cuvée collection includes multiple grand crus from Bonne-Mares, Mazis-Chambertin, Échézeaux and Clo-de-Voudeot. At the founding of the domaine, Mortet had 4.5 hectares (11 acres) of vineyard but quickly began to expand. Parcels were acquired in the Premier Cru vineyard Lavaux Saint-Jacques in Gevrey-Chambertin as wells as in Motrot, Vellé, Champs and La Côte des Longeroies in Marsannay. Denis Mortet eliminated chemical fertilizers and weed killers in 1996 and today, all of the fruit is hand-harvested. In the winery, grape berries are sorted twice to ensure optimal quality. The domaine began in 1956 when Charles Mortet bought a single hectare of vines and began selling fruit to merchant houses. Mortet's son Denis, and his wife Laurence, began working on the estate in 1978 and in the early 1990s, took over and established Domaine Denis Mortet.

For the past 20 years, Michel has been working with Anselme Selosse, mostly in the vineyards and also in production. In 2008, he asked Selosse if he could keep a little bit of fruit to start his adventure and make the wines in Selosse’s cellar, a request that was warmly received. Michel produced his first cuvée in 2008 from Selosse’s Avize vineyard and released his first finished wine, Cuvée Ozanne, in 2012. Recently, the house has started bottling a second Champagne, named after Michel’s wife, Brigitte. They did not get more vines (Ozanne remains a single-site project), and instead are using their reserve wine from the local cooperative, to which Michel sells some fruit every year. So, the juice for Champagne Brigitte Fallon is a combination of Fallon Avize grapes and other growers' Avize grapes of the same quality.
