It began with a single wine, the Apothic Red, which was first released in commercial volumes in 2010. Founded in 1966 by Robert Mondavi himself, the company is widely credited with kickstarting the modern era of California's wine industry. It has vineyards in some of the country's best winegrowing regions, including Aconcagua, the Limari Valley, Apalta, the Rapel Valley and the Casablanca Valley. Gallo – the largest family-owned winery in the United States.
