Intense fragrant nose with nuances of dried pears, bananas, some vanilla cream. The palate is also very fruity with clear notes of banana yogurt, fine mousse, balanced interplay with good length, pleasant with its harmony. Producer Information The Bonotto family has been making wine for as long as anyone can remember. But their renowned Le Contesse winery was officially founded in 1976 when Bonotto, with the help of his father’s life savings, purchased a property in Treviso province once owned by the Tiepolo countesses, one of the area’s most famous families and the inspiration for the winery’s name — le Contesse (literally, “the countesses”). After completing his degree at the Center for Experimental Viticulture in the city of Conegliano, Loris set his sights on making the greatest sparkling wine he possibly could. Over years of trial and error, he ultimately developed a revolutionary approach to making Prosecco: Instead of using two separate vessels (as called for in the classic tank method of Prosecco production, he uses one, an autoclave. In other words, the grape must (juice) never leaves the pressurized vat where it is vinified. As a result, there is no exposure to oxygen (until bottling) and the wine never oxidizes — at all. This ensures that the finished wine retains the original fresh, fruity character of the newly harvested grapes. Today, the Bonotto family, led by Loris’ son Davide and his wife Francesca, calls the process “single fermentation”.

Producer: Sommariva Vintage: NV Size: 750ml ABV: 11.5% Varietal: Glera Country/Region: Italy, Veneto Polished and bright, this offers aromas of hawthorn, white stone fruit and white almond. Reflecting the nose, the dry, vibrant palate presents ripe yellow apple and bitter almond alongside a lively, refined perlage. Producer Information For several generations the Sommariva family worked the vines on the high plains of the Veneto, growing a mix of French and local varietals and selling off most of their crop as was common practice at the time, but it was Caterino Sommariva who pinpointed the slopes as the best place for vines and began purchasing hillside vineyards together with his wife Urbana in the 1970s. The couple also had great faith in the Prosecco varietal (now known by its historical name, Glera) and decided to plant it exclusively on their new property, which gradually grew as they continued to snatch up adjacent parcels over the years. This great foresight put them in a very advantageous position when Prosecco and the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene began to gain recognition in the late ‘80s for the light, clean sparkling wine we know so well today. Caterino and Urbana’s daughter Cinzia remembers watching her parents work and thinking as a child how hopelessly difficult the harvest seemed; so she chose another path in life and pursued studies in marketing. As she got older, though, she regularly returned to the estate and began to see her parents’ work through different eyes, slowly discovering her own passion for the hard work of winemaking. She eventually joined them and has since become a dynamic and enthusiastic partner in the estate. The name Palazzo Rosso, meaning red building or palace, is a historic epithet for the zone that refers to the russet color of the earth here due to its high content of iron and other micronutrients. Despite Prosecco’s reputation for being light and easy, the Sommarivas take their work very seriously, adhering to eco-friendly practices in the vineyards, harvesting manually, and keeping a very close watch over the vinification process while many of their neighbors settle for easier methods and mediocre wine. These are perfectionists who only sit back once the work is done and it’s time...

Cool on the nose, delicate green apple, sea salt, citrus. On the palate with a precise course and steely fruit, sparse and sparkling clean, remains bone-dry in the finale. Producer Information Santa Margherita is an Italian wine producer with wineries and vineyards located around Italy, in places like Veneto, Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, Alto Adige, Lombardy, Franciacorta, Chianti Classico, Maremma and Sicily. The estate was founded in 1935 by Gaetano Marzotto, and today is widely renowned for its popular Pinot Grigio wines. In fact, the company has been credited with creating the variety's signature light, crisp style. In 1965, Santa Margherita applied traditional white winemaking methods to the pink Pinot Grigio grapes. The result was a wine that was quite different to those made from Pinot Gris elsewhere. The iconic Pinot Grigio from Valdadige is now distributed to 85 countries and has been the market leader for the variety for more than 50 years. To produce the brand's most well-known white wine, Pinot Grigio juice is softly pressed off the skins so as not to take on a rusty color, and is then fermented for 10 to 15 days. After fermentation, the wine is stored in temperature-controlled stainless steel until bottling. On top of the Pinot Grigio, Santa Margherita has an extensive portfolio of white, red, rosé, sparkling and dessert wines from various DOC, DOCG, and IGT Italian wine regions. These are made from a range of local and international grape varieties including Chardonnay, Glera, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Teroldego and Refosco.

Brisk acidity and a lively perlage provide the backdrop.

The company is owned by the Bottega family, with Barbara, Sandro and Stefano Bottega currently at its head. Aldo Bottega founded the Distilleria Bottega distillery in Pianzano di Godega, Veneto, in 1977. The company specialized in the production of grappa and after Aldo Bottega's death in 1983, his wife Rosina Zambon Bottega took full control of Distilleria Bottega. In 1987, the company added the Alexander brand to its portfolio of grappas, branching out into the making of Prosecco in 1992. A new head office was established in Bibano di Godega in 2002 and was extended seven years later with the construction of a grappa distillery and a winery dedicated to the production of Prosecco and other sparkling wines. Between 2009 and 2011, Distilleria Bottega purchased two further wineries – one in Valpolicella for the production of Amarone della Valpolicella, Recioto della Valpolicella, Valpolicella Ripasso, Valpolicella Classico and Classico Superiore wines, as well as another winery in Montalcino for the making of Tuscan Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. This period of development continued with the rebranding of Distilleria Bottega to Bottega S.p.A in 2013. Today, the company produces wines and spirits under two brands: Bottega and Alexander. The extensive Bottega portfolio includes still wines from Chianti Classico to Soave, sparkling wines like Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco, spumante Oltrepo Pavese and aromatized frizzante wine, as well as grappa and limoncello. The Alexander range, in contrast, is solely devoted to grappa and vodka. Bottega S.p.A has installed systems to reduce water and energy consumption in the winery in order to reduce its environmental impact. On top of this, the company planted several new, organically farmed vineyards in 2007.

Opens with notes of raspberry and orange zest, subtle floral nuances in the echo. On the palate wild strawberries, fresh with a clear drive, medium length. Producer Information Cantina Canevel was founded in 1979 from the meeting of two professionals who merge into a single authentic passion. From the beginning of the entrepreneurial adventure, when Mario Caramel and the oenologist Roberto De Lucchi founded the winery in a small workshop under the Church of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, the project was clear: the production of an excellent sparkling wine capable of enhancing the qualities of Glera grapes. "Canevel", in dialect, means "small cellar": this would become the name of the sparkling wines produced. The new company had to become the best corner where to keep secrets and traditions. Since then, Prosecco has remained a project, and by no means a coincidence. Canevel Spumanti is the result of a passion cultivated over the time: the culture of wine, technical ability and the continuous search for quality are the elements of Canevel's history. The vineyards arise in the areas of Follo, Santo Stefano and Guia: these territories represent the most suitable terroir of the guaranteed denomination. The climate benefits from an average annual temperature one degree higher than the average, the latter likely consequence of the climatic peculiarities of the area. The personality of this terroir can be found directly in the Canevel Prosecco: they stand out for their richness and roundness; we can affirm that climate and soil, in the "small cellar" become synonyms of an unmistakable style. Today Canevel winery can boast farms that extend for 26 hectares of selected land on the prestigious territory of Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG. The company is one of the wineries in the Venetian regions, characterized by a unique history and a very important tradition: the values of tradition and the territory are recognized all over the world, thanks to the experience of Masi Agricola. From 2016, the Canevel company became part of the Masi Group, world leader in the production of Amarone and other excellent wine products, characteristic of the Venetian...

All our bottles are painted with a technique called serigraphy, which is a method of using ceramic natural colors melted on the glass of the bottle to create a unique piece of art. With our bottles, you will have the chance to bring home a piece of real Ancient Roman art, as each bottle represents an original fresco painting found on the Roman walls."
