The winery was built in 1934 and run as a cooperative before it was bought by the Maggio and Reynolds families in 2002. In 2010 the Dondero family joined as co-owners. Oak Ridge has more than 2500 acres (1011 hectares) of estate vineyards all in Lodi. A portion of which was helped along to AVA status by the cooperative's members in 1996. The winery is well-known in the area for its tasting room, which is in a converted 50,000 gallon redwood tank.
