On the creamy palate, fresh acidity brightens mature yellow apple, white peach and a hint of lemon zest. It closes on a savory, almost salty note. Producer Information Tenute di Nozzole is a Tuscan wine estate located in the heart of the Chianti Classico zone, north of the village of Greve. It has been owned by the Folonari family since 1971 and is known mainly for its wines from the Sangiovese grape as well as a leading Cabernet Sauvignon. The entire estate covers around 400 hectares (1000 acres), with around 90ha (225 acres) planted to vineyards. It produces a standard Chianti Classico and a Riserva that are aged in both French and Slavonian oak, plus a single-vineyard Gran Selezione wine from the La Forra parcel. This wine is only released in the very best years and spends around eight months in stainless steel, and then 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels. In the 1980s, the Trebbiano and Malvasia plantings that were grown to blend into the red wine were replaced with Chardonnay to make the unoaked Le Bruniche cuvée. The Folonari family's winemaking history in Tuscany dates back to the 1700s. The extended family owned the Nozzole and Ruffino brands plus some smaller estates. In 2000, the two were split and Ruffino is now owned by Constellation Brands. Today, the Folonaris own several other properties around Tuscany, including Tenuta del Cabreo in Chianti Classico, La Fuga in Montalcino, TorCalvano in Montepulciano, Campo al Mare in Bolgheri and Vigne a Porrona in Montecucco.

Between 2009 and 2011, Distilleria Bottega purchased two further wineries – one in Valpolicella for the production of Amarone della Valpolicella, Recioto della Valpolicella, Valpolicella Ripasso, Valpolicella Classico and Classico Superiore wines, as well as another winery in Montalcino for the making of Tuscan Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. The extensive Bottega portfolio includes still wines from Chianti Classico to Soave, sparkling wines like Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco, spumante Oltrepo Pavese and aromatized frizzante wine, as well as grappa and limoncello. The Alexander range, in contrast, is solely devoted to grappa and vodka. Bottega S.p.A has installed systems to reduce water and energy consumption in the winery in order to reduce its environmental impact. On top of this, the company planted several new, organically farmed vineyards in 2007.

The sweetness is balanced by a crisp acidity. Notes of white stone fruit linger on the finish. Producer Information Villa Rosa has some of the richest heritage in Castellina in Chianti and its vineyards resonate the essence of Chianti Classico. The Cecchi Family purchased the property from the Lucherini Bandini Family who had carefully tended the land for almost 70 years. The families shared a great friend who linked them together: the renowned and formidable wine taster, Giulio Gambelli. For Giulio, Villa Rosa was the best vineyards in Castellina in Chianti Classico for growing Sangiovese. As Giulio used to say: "A Villa Rosa il Sangiovese ci nasce bene!" – (At Villa Rosa, the Sangiovese grows well!). Immediately after purchasing the property in 2015, they conducted a meticulous soil analysis to understand the potential for Sangiovese in each vineyard. The estate includes 30 hectares of vineyards, all included in the Chianti Classico appellation. The focus was and still is to produce the best expression of Sangiovese from the Chianti Classico denomination in the higher elevations of Castellina in Chianti. The 2015 harvest was used for the debut vintage of Gran Selezione Villa Rosa, which burst onto the scene from a year of exceptional growing conditions: cold winters, mild and humid springs, summers with good temperature ranges, and some rainfall. The property is managed with the sole objective of producing a Gran Selezione wine, which is the most prestigious designation in Chianti Classico and is meant to be a pure expression of Sangiovese.

Producer Information Bibi Graetz is a Tuscan wine producer based in Fiesole, in the hills northeast of Florence. The company is particularly known for its IGT Toscana red wines Testamatta ('Crazy Head') and Colore produced from Sangiovese. However, the equivalent white wines from Ansonica are earning increasing attention. The estate's history dates back to the mid 1990s when Bibi Graetz began taking an interest in the family vineyard, which until then was largely producing wine for family consumption. The Bibi Graetz winery was formed in 2000. In the new millenium Bibi began scouting out additional vineyard parcels in the area to rent. The estate entered the 2020s working with approximately 30 hectares (75 acres) of vines that are divided into small, organically farmed plots. The winery is located in the main square of Fiesole and also home to Bibi and his family. The vineyard holdings are about to be dramatically extended, however. In 2020, 90 hectares (222 acres) of land right behind the winery was acquired. New vineyards have been planted on this property. Bibi grew up in a family of artists and himself studied at the Accademie d'Arte in Florence. Labels feature his colorful original artwork.
