Château Mazeris was built in 1769. The estate was bequeathed as part of the dowry of Jeanne-Modeste Couvrat to Jean-Baptiste de Cournuaud upon their marriage in 1805. Since then, Château Mazeris has produced wine in the hands of 9 successive generations of de Cournuauds. Owners: Patrick de Cournuaud (son of Christian de Cournuaud) and his sons, Jean and Matthieu. The Canon La Gaffelière estate began as two separate holdings in the 19th Century: Canon Boitard and La Gaffelière Boitard. They were eventually combined, and then acquired by the Von Neipperg family in 1971. Current proprietor Count Stephan von Neipperg also owns La Mondotte, Clos de L'Oratoire and Château Peyreau in Saint-Émilion, plus a handful of other estates around Bordeaux.

Winemaker Julien Mareschel might not have much space to work with, but he certainly makes the most of it. Three and a half of the domaine's five hectares are dedicated to growing white varieties (Chardonnay and Savagnin), with the remaining hectare and a half going to red (Trousseau, Pinot Noir and Ploussard). Half of the vines are more than 30 years old, and the other half were planted between 1985 and 1990, and the estate is entirely organic/biodynamic.
