ConciergeUSA Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 FAE-01 Limited Release Bourbon Whiskey
734.74 CAD
Whiskey: Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 FAE-01 Limited Release Bourbon Maker's Mark is revealing its third limited release bourbon that won't require a special trip to Loretto, Kentucky to snag a taste. Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 Release: FAE-01 Size: 750ML Proof: 110.6 (55.3% ABV) Origin: United States Distillery: Beam Suntory Inc. Maker's Mark has been tinkering with wood finishing for nearly a decade, inserting carefully chosen wooden staves into barrels full of already-matured bourbon to give it extra flavor and character. With their previous two limited releases, they used different unique staves to reach a specific taste profile. For their 2021 release, Maker's took it further by only searing one side of their staves – leaving the other side raw – to extract separate flavors from each side of the individual staves. Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 Release FAE-01 is amplifying the naturally present dried fruit and woody richness in a distinctively Maker’s way. It's said that this release tastes exactly how Maker's barrel warehouse smells: rich figgy notes complemented by tobacco undertones and a pleasantly dank woodiness. Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 FAE-01 Limited Release Bourbon Whiskey Nose: Heavy wood, dark fruit & tobacco. Palate: Deep & dried dark fruits, big midpalate with strong tobacco & barrel extractives. Finish: Creamy, lingering & round. Distillery Information Beam Suntory, Inc. is a subsidiary of Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd, which itself is a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings of Osaka, Japan. Its headquarters are in Chicago, Illinois. It is the third largest producer of distilled beverages worldwide behind Diageo and Pernod Ricard.
DutyFreeX Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2019 Release "RC6" Bourbon Whiskey
884.26 CAD
Whiskey: Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2019 Release Bourbon Maker's Mark is revealing its first-ever limited release bourbon that won't require a special trip to Loretto, Kentucky to snag a taste. Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2019 Release: RC6 will be available nationwide this fall, albeit for as long as the barrels last, the distillery announced. It marks the first of many upcoming whiskeys in the wood finishing series, as Maker's Mark plans to release a new one for a limited time, nationwide, each year. A lot of firsts for this bourbon. Size: 750ML Proof: 108.2 (54.1% ABV) Origin: United States Distillery: Beam Suntory Inc. The distillery has been tinkering with wood finishing for nearly a decade, inserting carefully chosen wooden staves into barrels full of already-matured bourbon to give it extra flavor and character. You might already be familiar with the Maker's Mark wood finishing series from Marker's Mark 46 and Maker's Mark Private Select. Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2019 Release: RC6—or Maker’s Mark 2019 Release, for short—was finished in secondary barrels containing 10 wooden staves dubbed RC6. The staves, made from virgin American oak, were seasoned for a year and half (a.k.a. exposed to the outdoor elements) and then baked in a convection oven before being introduced to the cask-strength bourbon. The distillers experimented with timing, wood type, heat level, and more for two years before getting the combination right. In the end, Maker's Mark made 255 barrels of this wood-finished bourbon, and that's all she wrote on RC6; the distillery doesn't plan to use it outside of this limited release. Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series 2019 Release Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes Nose: Floral aroma. Palate: Notes of baking spice and Fruit. Finish: A bright finish.

Palate: A very pleasant, rich and smooth taste in the mouth. Lovely texture. Finish: Perfect, long lasting finish. Distillery Information Maker's Mark is a Bourbon brand and distillery located in Loretto, Kentucky. The company in its modern form was founded in 1953 by Bill Samuels Senior, although the distillery has been active under various owners since 1805, and the Samuels family have been involved in whiskey production since 1780. The family still manages the operation, though it was sold to Hiram Walker & Son in 1981 and is now part of the Beam Suntory portfolio. Maker's Mark, like Old Rip Van Winkle, is a wheated Bourbon with no rye in the recipe. Other points of difference in production include a roller mill to stop grains scorching, slow cooking in open cookers, and the use of their own house jug yeast (a unique, in-house yeast culture). The spirit is distilled to 130 degrees proof (65 percent abv) in three copper beer columns with doublers, which are considered key in establishing the character of the white dog (new-make spirit). Oak barrels for the core product are air-dried and given a lighter char to avoid overly sweet aromas. The barrels are matured in black-painted warehouses around the property; to achieve consistency they are rotated between the cooler lower floors and the baking-hot upper floors.
