Many other small liquor store sites will end up cancelling your order due to the high demand and unavailability. Size: 700ML Proof: 95.4 (47.7%ABV) Origin: Scotland Distillery: Glencadam From the Glencadam Distillery comes a single cask 22 year old single malt Scotch whisky, which was distilled back in 1998. In 2021, it was drawn from its Fernando de Castilla Pedro Ximénez Sherry Butt and bottled up at cask strength, producing only 532 bottles of richly flavoursome whisky. Glencadam 22 Year Old 1998 (cask 2496) - Fernando de Castilla Pedro Ximénez Sherry Butt 700ML Tasting Notes Nose: Fresh green apple, lime peel, hay, vanilla, some floral hints. Palate: Oily, creamy, fruity, subtle sweetness, little citric, hay, apple, lemon peel. Finish: Medium long, warm, fruity, some vanilla, hay, citric. Distillery Information In 1825, George Cooper founded the Glencadam whisky distillery. The distillery changed hands several times during the 19th century, but only twice in the 20th century. In July of 1954, Andrew Stevenson and Harry Southwell sold Glencadam to Hiram Walker for the sum of £83,400. Five years later Hiram Walker renovated the buildings and in 1987 Allied Lyons, who later became Allied Domecq, purchased the distillery from them, who by then had also changed to Hiram Walker Gooderham & Worts. Allied mothballed the Glencadam distillery at the turn of the millennium and then sold it in 2003 to Angus Dundee. Despite being closed for three years, the distillery had been left in such superb condition by Allied, Angus Dundee were able to reopen it just two months after the acquisition. Glencadam was the second distillery Angus Dundee had purchased, Tomintoul being the first. Glencadam lies a half mile from the River Esk and quenches its thirst from Loch Lee, at the River Esk's headwaters, from where the water is piped the thirty miles to the distillery. The water is very soft and produces a 'creamy' single malt; prior to closure by Allied, the distillery had supplied whisky for Stewart’s Cream of the Barley blend. The Glencadam distillery runs at capacity, its two stills producing some 1.4 million litres annually and boasting eleven warehouses, there is plenty of room for the spirit to be matured on-site in ex-bourbon casks.

Tomintoul 23 Year Old 1998 (cask 1) - Pedro Ximénez Sherry Butt 700ML Tasting Notes Nose: beautiful campfire smoke, going in the direction of "smoked sausage". In addition a lot of aroma of dark fruits, the sweet lightness of px is barely recognizable, a strong note of dark fruit plum, maybe raisins Palate: Alcohol is expected to be very mild, the sweetness of the dark fruit is combined with the ingenious smoke, absolutely harmonious but on a very high level. Very much oak, slightly bitter, slightly chocolaty but not disturbing. Finish: Great, long finish. Distillery Information Tomintoul (pronounced ‘tom-in-TOWEL’) was built in 1964, under the ownership of Hay & Macleod and W & S Strong, in the village of the same name, which itself is one of Scotland’s highest, at an altitude of 345m (1132 feet). Drawing its water from the Ballantruan Spring, the whisky distillery sits in rugged terrain; jagged undulations surround and are specked with many a wooded clump. It is said the purity of the spring and the clean air at such an altitude contribute to the smooth, easy-drinking single malt of Tomintoul; indeed, they market their Scotch as ‘the easy drinking dram’. The distillery is rather large with a capacity of 3.3 million litres per annum. Tomintoul runs at maximum capacity, with a seven day working week and boasts a healthy storage capacity; its four warehouses can hold 75,000 casks. In 1974, the first official bottling was launched in the form of Tomintoul twelve year-old. Two weeks a year, a heavily peated malt with 55ppm is used for mashing, for the peated bottlings in Tomintoul’s range. Currently under Angus Dundee ownership, Tomintoul whisky distillery was acquired from Whyte and Mackay in 2000. It would seem Tomintoul has come of age of late with a surge of recent releases, including the 1976 vintage, bottled in 2008.

Palate: Rich dried fruits with dark chocolate covered figs and sugar dusted roast nuts. Finish: Long finish with combination of dry tannins and spice, coupled with remaining dried fruit character. Distillery Information Teeling Distillery was officially opened in 2015. The brand’s history in actually stretches back to 1782, when a chap called Walter Teeling set up a distillery in the Liberties area of Dublin. Fast-forward to the present (not forgetting the era when John Teeling owned the Cooley Distillery, before selling it to Beam in 2011) and the Teelings are again at the forefront of Irish distilling. Teeling identifies as a ‘progressive’ distillery. The team, led by Jack Teeling, his brother Stephen, and master distiller Alex Chasko, are leading the Irish whiskey innovation charge. From the ‘re-imagined’ Dublin porter recipes and proprietary fermentation techniques used to create the Teeling wash to the three different stills in operation, the team pushes what’s possible in Irish whiskey-making to create delicious drinks. Teeling's pioneering attitude is underscored by the fact that a whopping 25% of annual production is dedicated to whiskey experiments. Exciting stuff. What does this mean for Teeling whiskey? While the new distillery’s spirit comes of age, Teeling is releasing liquid that showcases the style and character we can expect from years to come. From the flagship (and tasty) Single Malt to expressions like the Brabazon series which celebrate the history of whiskey distilling in Dublin, the Teeling range is well worth exploring.

The packaging is pretty striking too, with a scary monster and a (deliberately) singed label. Bottled at 46% and un-chillfiltered, just how we like 'em. Peat's Beast Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ML Tasting Notes Nose: Delightful aroma. Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour. Finish: Smooth & lingering. Palate: A very pleasant, rich and smooth taste in the mouth. Lovely texture. Finish: Elegant long-lasting aftertaste. Distillery Information Edradour is perhaps best known as one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries, producing a mere 90,000 litres per annum with a work force of just three. Established in 1825 in the hills of Pitlochry, Edradour (pronounced ‘EDD-ra-DOWer’) maintains its heritage as an almost artisanal distillery. The heart of the range, a ten-year old, exhibits an unconventional charm, uncharacteristic of a highland single malt. Edradour was acquired in 1982 by drinks giant Pernod Ricard. Following the acquisition, three quarters of the distillery's yield was initially used in the production of blended whiskies, notably including ‘House of Lords’ and the auspiciously named ‘King’s Ransom’. It was not until Signatory acquired the distillery in 2002, that Edradour concentrated its efforts, almost solely, on producing single malts. Renowned for experimenting with various outlandish wood finishes, Edradour has released various malts matured in some rather interesting casks, a ‘Chardonnay Finish’, a ‘Côte de Provence’ and a curious ‘Tokaji Wood Finish’ being among the number.

Distillery Information Since 1838, Gutierrez Colosia has been situated in the mouth of the river Guadalete in the town of El Puerto de Santa Maria. The quality of the Gutiérrez Colosía wines is guaranteed by careful ageing through a process known as “criaderas y soleras”, following the region’s tradition. The Gutiérrez Colosía wines are produced in “bodegas”, or wine cellars, with an architectural style known as “Nave Cathedral” or cathedral like warehouse. These are buildings of significant height and numerous arcs which allow for a better exposure of the wines to the influence of the special climate of the Region. The Gutiérrez Colosía Bodegas are heirs to a long viticulture and wine producing tradition. Their first Bodega was built in 1838 and it has been preserved almost as such to this day. After different ownership, it was acquired by Mr. José Gutiérrez Dosal in the 1920s, the late great grandfather of this last generation of the Gutiérrez Colosía family. In 1969, the Gutiérrez Colosía family bought the ruins of the Palace of the Count of Cumbrehermosa -Cargador de Indias, which also included a wine cellar. Whiskey: Benriach 15 Year Old Pedro Ximenez Single Malt Scotch Matured in the traditional style in American bourbon barrels, this whisky is then ‘finished’ in Pedro Ximenez sherry butts, sourced from the bodegas of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalucia, Southern Spain. During this second period of maturation, the whisky derives many interesting characteristics specific to the Pedro Ximenez butt. Order from the Largest & Most Trusted Premium Spirits Marketplace! Featured in ROLLING STONE MEN'S JOURNAL US WEEKLY Size: 750ML Proof: 92 (46% ABV) Age: 15 Year Origin: Scotland Distillery: BenRiach Distillery Everyone knows that the Pedro Ximenez Sherry (PX) casks give the most beautiful finish to Highland Single Malt Whiskies. And after spending its first 14 years in Bourbon casks, Benriach 15 gets that all-important one more year in those awesome PX casks. And as you might guess, this glistening amber gem has no artificial colours or flavors and is not chill-filtered because a Whisky of this quality needs none of that funny business. Benriach 15 Year Old Pedro Ximenez Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes Nose: Figs, sultanas, dark chocolate, and a generous whiff of rancio. Palate: More fig, with honied-butter, papaya and a dash of chocolate and oak. Finish: Smooth and sweet and long as Loch Ness. Distillery Information The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker.
