Peter Scott (1909 - 1989) was a British ornithologist, conservationist, painter, naval officer, broadcaster and sportsman. He worked together with Alanbrooke in various conservation societies. Scott was knighted in 1973 for his contribution to the conservation of wild animals. He had been a founder of the World Wide Fund for Nature, founded the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (November 1946), and was an influence on international conservation. He received the WWF Gold Medal. and the J. Paul Getty Prize for his work.

The play premiered in the UK in 1988 at The Apollo theatre, London with this cast, so this theatre programme would appear to be from an early showing. These are genuine autographs, this is not a photocopy or preprint. Condition: 1cm closed tear to the edge of the second from last page (no loss of text), otherwise tidy. Provenance: This came direct from the Jan van Bree estate. Jan van Bree (1938-2024) was a Dutch native and a prolific autograph collector. His collection spanned around fifty albums. It began in 1957 when he wrote to the famous Italian singer Beniamino Gigli and received a handwritten reply. That one letter spurred Jan to write to as many famous people as possible, all over the world and to collect autographs in person.
