Size: 375ML Proof: 98 (49%) Origin: United States Distillery: Old Forester Warehouse H is symbolic of Old Forester’s growth after WWII. Construction on the brick warehouse began in 1946, housing 50,000 barrels. Warehouse H is unusual in its heat cycling profile with the 1st floor sometimes hitting the highest temperatures. Old Forester 117 Series: Warehouse H 375ML Tasting Notes Nose: On the nose, this is quite inviting, sweet and fruity in nature. Big caramel and heavy sweetness are lightened somewhat by bright citrus, but given depth with notes of gingerbread and whipped maple butter. Palate: cherry juice, orange and slightly tart cranberry, which gives it a distinctly festive feeling. Finish: Finish is very smooth and long. Distillery Information Old Forester was the first Bourbon in the United States to be sold in sealed bottles. It is officially the longest continuously distilled Bourbon still in operation. It is produced at the Brown-Forman distillery in Shively, Kentucky, and at Old Forester Distilling Co. on Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville Old Forester has a mash bill of corn, rye, and malted barley. The brand's core expression is the Old Forester 86 Proof. Other bottlings include the 100 Proof, 1897 Bottled in Bond (the year was when regulations over bonded warehouses were introduced), Single Barrel, and a Rye. The 1870 Original Batch, 1910 Old Fire and 1920 Prohibition Style are batch releases. They respectively comemorate the foundation of the brand, a major fire on the bottling line, and the enforcement of the Volstead Act which initiated Prohibition on a federal basis.

____________________________ Eight volumes, including the "Table of Works Cited", 24 × 17 × 4 cm; approximately 1,000 pages per volume. Single print run of 800 copies. Bound in blue half-cloth Bradel bindings, marbled papers, smooth spines with orange paper title and author labels; original covers and spines preserved. Text blocks and bindings in near-fine condition. First curator of the Spoelberck de Lovenjoul Library, a man of letters, bibliophile and bibliographer, he compiled the earliest bibliographies of Balzac, Hugo, Stendhal, and Heredia. The reissue presented here was his major achievement, and the Manual remains an indispensable working tool for bibliophiles whose shelves contain nineteenth-century books. The binding is modest only in appearance: it was expertly executed by a professional workshop and has clearly seen little or no handling, having scarcely left the shelves.
