Dark purple boards with lighter purple lettering to spine and front are very good with a little pushing/bumping to corners, the odd small mark, a little browning/fading to spine, the odd small bump/rub to edges and a little wear (pushing/rubbing/bumping) to head/tail of spine. Some spine lean. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Pages bit tanned. Odd small mark/scratch/spot of foxing to page edges, tops and bottoms. Although the copyright page says 1903 the list of titles on the copyright page list to "" The Moving Finger"" which was published in 1911, of a very good hardcover with pages toning, a bump to the top front corner and minor wear to the extremities, and a bookstore sticker on the rear pastedown, in a good dustjacket with tape ghosting in the inside of the jacket due to a previous repair, some loss to the spine, and wear to the extremities. The story of young man who cannot forgive his newly found father for abandoning him and his mother. The bookstore sticker is from H.I. Van Ness, Potsdam New York which I think adds to the value of the book like the labels on the rear of paintings.
